Security at Aptivio 

At Aptivio we take data and privacy very seriously. Keeping your data private and secure is our number one priority. We understand the sensitivity of the information you share with AptivIO and employ industry best practices to keep this data secure and confidential. We keep tabs on developments within the security industry and regularly assess all systems for areas where we can further enhance our security protocols. We are GDPR compliant and have received our ISO 27001 Certification.

Confidentiality, Integrity and Security 

All stored information is protected by 256-AES encryption and data in transit is protected with 128-bit SSL encryption. Administrative access to our system is only permitted using secure remote access technologies such as VPN and SSH. We run background checks on all our employees, access to the database is monitored for suspicious activity, and your emails and calendar events are redacted to preserve your privacy.  

  

We regularly conduct security audits with a third-party white-hat provider to evaluate our security measures and ensure we are up to date with industry best practices. This includes vulnerability scanning, penetration tests, and system audits. Your data is also encrypted in storage using 256-bit AES encryption and in transit using 128-bit SSL encryption to protect against unauthorized access or fraud.  

  

We utilize off-site, geographically distributed backups to ensure your data is never lost. AptivIO’s infrastructure leverages AWS components with uptime SLAs of 99.95% and features 24/7 monitoring to alert us of any issues. We have engineers on call so we are always available and ready to remedy issues that could prevent access to your data.

Website Tracking and Sales Engagement under General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 

Our software uses Javascript-based tracking code similar to cookies for monitoring web visits.   

👉According to GDPR and CCPA, you are the Controller of the personal data of your customers. Since you share that information with us and we process it under your instructions, we are the Processor of such data.  

👉We advise you to mention Aptivio in your cookie and privacy notices as the third-party service provider who also has access to personal data, and briefly describe what our technology is used for.

We use third party sales intelligence software Aptivio to track client activity on our website.  

How does it work?  

  We embed a Javascript-based tracking code on our website. When visitors come to the website, the tracking code sends information to Aptivio about that visitor’s web activity.  

What information does Aptivio collect and why?  

When tracking code is added to a page, Aptivio stores the following information in an Oracle Cloud in the United States:  

  • Page visits  
  • Datetime of each page visit  
  • Hashed/Pseudonymized IP Address (i.e. no recognizable personal information)  

  👉This way we are able to alert you for any interested buyers visiting your website and which URL they visited specifically.

This data is automatically deleted after 1 year.

We use Aptivio as our third-party service provider in order to monitor website visits on the basis of the website operator’s legitimate interests (Section 6 paragraph 1 lit.f GDPR) in order to collect and save data on marketing, market research and optimization purposes.

In order to do this, a JavaScript based code, which serves to capture company-related data and according to website usage. The data captured using this technology are encrypted in a non-retrievable one-way function (so-called hashing). The data is immediately pseudonymized and is not used to identify website visitors personally.

The data stored by Aptivio will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required for their intended purpose and there are no legal obligations to retain them.

How to implement the website tracker?

Go to Settings>Website tracker>Copy the code in the header of the pages you want us to be able to track

❗If you don't see Settings that means you don't have a RevOps role in the system, so you would have to ask your RevOps (Team Admin) to give you this role.

Aptivio, in context of Data Privacy Regulations (CCPA, GDPR, etc.), is considered both as a Data Collector and a Data Processor. Our clients are the Data Controller and Data Co-Processor, as we are given the ability to decide how they process their data and process it on their own. As it appliesfor the Data Providers, Aptivio ensures the compliance of all processes done by the entity or the clients. Those processes have different level of identity resolution for different types of campaigns, divided between two major categories: Public Data and Personal Data.  

Definitions of commonly used privacy terms 

Data Collection: the procedure of collecting, measuring and analyzing insights for advertising or research purposes, using standard validated techniques  

Data Collector: the entity collecting data through its Data Providers and analyzing it to deliver accurate information to its clients  

Data Processor: the entity which holds and processes data on behalf of a Data Controller whose role is to decide the purpose and manner to process the data  

Public Data: composed of Job Roles and IDs on LinkedIn, Digital IDs, Work Email Patterns, Local HQ Phone; considered as “opted-in” by the owner by default, who explicitly consented that its data could be used when opting in, though AptivIO provides the possibility to opt-out at any time.  

Personal Data: composed of Direct Dial and Opt-in Emails; considered as “opted-out” by the private data owner, so AptivIO asks for the clear and explicit consent before collecting and processing it. Aptivio also provides the possibility to opt-out at any time if the users change their mind.  

How can you access and control your personal data? 

Upon request Aptivio will provide you with information about whether we hold, or process on behalf of a third party, any of your personal information. To request this information please contact us at privacy@aptiv.io.   

  

Aptivio allows you to:  

  • Access to personal information held about you   
  • Correct, amend, or delete that information if inaccurate or if you no longer desire our service subject to contractual commitments you may have entered with Aptivio, except where the burden or expense of providing access would be disproportionate to the risks to your privacy.
